I began this project when my son was entering his teens, hanging out with his friends, and beginning to navigate the adult world around him. The early work led to branching out with his friends, and also with my own friends' kids. I found it fascinating to observe this age group in their own environments, and at times became invisible as I captured very candid scenes.
